We were disturbed by a mother bear and her cub visiting our backyard. They (probably just the mother) dragged our deck box off the deck over to the edge of our property. We keep bird seed and suet in this box to refill our birdfeeders. We always put the birdfeeders away here at dusk because we have experienced racoons eating the seeds and on one occasion they broke a glass hummingbird feeder. This is the first time we have experienced bears eating our birdfood.
